FAQ
Oldtimers are often associated with a dusty image, they are something for collectors or older, wealthy people. We are convinced of the opposite! Oldtimers are also exciting for young people – as a hobby, as a cultural asset, for the community. Young4vintage brings a breath of fresh air to the scene.
There are trainings with courses on all aspects of oldtimers – from driving training, maintenance and repair, care to the history of the vehicles. Our experts and the training courses transfer knowledge to people who are new to the oldtimer scene. Among other things, training content is provided on the platform.
We show all relevant events from the Swiss classic car scene, provide information about the SHVF and offer a community for young and young-at-heart enthusiasts.
The SHVF member clubs should be easy to find, reachable/approachable and directly contactable for interested parties. The young4vintage platform provides suitable options for this.
Young people and the young at heart who are interested in classic cars – whether students, trainees or simply people with enthusiasm for mechanics, a sense of history and style, we want to inspire ‘the next generation’ for classic cars!
Oldtimers are more than just vehicles – they tell stories. Many young people are looking for exactly that: authenticity, character and quality craftsmanship. There are many affordable entry-level models. With the right support – like ours – getting started is child’s play 😊
A central element of our support: You can register for various courses on the website – driving courses, care, maintenance and repairs, sustainability and the programme of studies, in which you can learn a lot about the history, preservation, documentation and conservation of historic vehicles.
As an association, the SHVF (Swiss Historic Vehicle Federation) would like to make it easier for ‘outsiders’ to enter the world of oldtimers. Young4vintage was created as a result of this endeavour.
We offer up-to-date information on the SHVF, its programmes and its political work. It is particularly important for young people to stay informed and to network with each other.
It is currently financed by its own funds, selected partnerships and donations.
We want to show that oldtimers are a cultural asset and belong ‘in the hands’ of the next generation. This platform is a tool to unite and rejuvenate the scene and to awaken genuine enthusiasm for oldtimers.
